TIRTHAN VALLEY | HIMACHAL'S UNDERRATED PLACE

      TIRTHAN VALLEY

Hey, guys welcome to the new blog my name is grv Sharma and I am sharing with you an adventurous experience in the unexplored Tirthan Valley in Himachal Pradesh.

TIRTHAN VALLEY

Tirthan valley, is still, a relatively lesser explored destination in Village Nagni Tehsil Banjar Himachal Pradesh. From adventurous drives to lush green farms, apple orchards, trout fishing, treks, it offers all this, and much more.

Before we start exploring the valley, let me take you through it, virtually. Tirthan originates from a place called Tirath, quite close to the revered peak of Shrikhand Mahadev then flows down towards the villages of Rolla, Ropa through the Great Himalayan National Park.

At Gushaini, it is joined by a smaller stream, Palchan Khad ( stream), coming through the village of Bathad. Gushaini, Nagini, Ropa are some of the beautiful places in this valley.

Near Banjar, a small stream, Jibhi Khad(stream), merges into Tirthan. At Larji, Tirthan merges with Sainj and then finally with Beas.

The route from Delhi is pretty much the same as Manali to the Aut tunnel Instead of taking the left into the tunnel you continue straight and cross the Larji dam. From here on, the roads are narrow, but, traffic is also less.

After you cross the Khunan pul (bridge), traveling on the left bank of Tirthan, the views are simply, awesome! Forests, farms, apple orchards welcome you.

This is where you enter the Himalayan Park.   The water is super chilly and, it’s a better idea to enjoy the river from a distance. Sitting here on the banks of Tirthan, with not a soul around, I try to empty my mind to just soak in nature, enjoy this moment and not think of anything.

You can never experience this kind of solitude in our cities. We watch the sun go down from the banks, and return only when it starts getting cold.

we are now headed towards Gushaini, switching over to the right bank of Tirthan. The route left from here will go up to the village of Ropa, and the entry point of the Great Himalayan National Park.

We take the road towards Bathed along Palchan khad. Palchan khad merging with Tirthan, at Gushaini. There aren’t many vehicles on the road now, but yes, occasionally, such bus drivers who want to stick to the cliffside do appear, just around the corners.

Traveling through the woods, we have come upon this small settlement and, we will try fishing here.

Tirthan Valley is just a 90 km drive from Manali also known as Himachal's best-kept secret.

Conclusion

The water in this stream, Palchan khad, is absolutely crystal clear, without any signs of pollution.  You can also go trekking into the Great Himalayan National Park if you are up for it. Hope you guys enjoyed this journey If you did, please share it with your friends. Don’t forget to subscribe for new blogs as more such destinations coming up soon.

See ya take care of yourself 😊
