Sacred-manikaran-gurudwara

The Manikaran Sahib Gurdwara is the most important and sacred place to visit in Manikaran.  It is a very well maintained Gurudwara. It also offers free of cost 'langar'  and accommodation.

The Gurudwara is also famous for its bridge and the hot water springs. The rice in the 'langar' is made by inserting small packets of rice in the hot spring itself.

Arranged 35 kilometers from Kullu and 4 kilometers from Kasol, it is a location that conjoins excellent sights and strict assumptions with a courageous excursion.

It is one of only a handful few favorable sights that have the two Hindus and Sikh sentiments joined at the same time.

Hence, a huge number of sightseers crowd it consistently. Situated on the banks of River Parvati, Manikaran offers numerous stunning destinations of the grand snow-clad mountains out of sight.

Sikh Faith

According to the Sikhs, during the third gloom, Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, came with his disciple brother Mardana.

He got hungry and had no food. Guru Nanak sent Mardana to gather nourishment for the langar.

Many people donated atta (flour) to make roti (roti). One issue was that there was no fire to cook.

Guru Nanak asks Mardana to lift a stone and he complies and a hot spring appears.

As directed by Guru Nanak, Mardana casts the rolled chapatis in the spring to his dismay.

Guru Nanak then asked him to pray to God, saying that if his chapatis floated back, he would donate a chapati in his name.

When he prayed, all the chapatis duly floated. Guru Nanak said that whoever donates in the name of God, his submerged things float back.

Manikaran Hot water springs

The devout water of the spring is sulfur-less and is said to  have extraordinary mending properties that help in restoring infections like Joint inflammation.

Why there is a hot water spring in Manikaran?
Scientific reason-

The principle explanation for the presence of high temp water springs is profound breaks or breaks in the Parvati valley locale boiling water at that point moves towards Manikaran

The temperature of these stones increases because of the presence of geothermal energy, henceforth the water here never cools.

Hindu Faith

Manikaran is a travel destination for Hindus. Hindus accept that Manu reproduced human existence in Manikaran after the flood, making it a sacred area.

During her stay here, Goddess Parvati lost her mani (gemstone or precious stone) in the water of a stream.

Upset over the defeat, he asks Shiva to reclaim it. Lord Shiva ordered his attendant to find a gem for Parvati. However, when they failed, he was extremely angry.

He opened his third eye, a very ominous event that caused disturbances in the universe. An appeal was made to the serpent god Sheshnag to pacify Lord Shiva.

Sheshnag sighed which increased the flow of boiling water.

Water spread throughout the region resulting in the creation of precious stones of the goddess Parvati type.

Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were happy with the result.
